 Asaba—A
Prophet and a landlord have been arrested by the police following the
death of a woman who went for a prayer session conducted at a private residence
in Agbor, Delta State.

The incident, according to
state Police Public Relations Officer,  Mr. Charles Muka, occurred
weekend, at the residence of the landlord, who organised the prayers for
spiritual healing.

Muka said: “The deceased,
identified as Nwanwundu Abiodu, on Saturday, came to the house of the landlord
for prayer purposes, which had been on since August 31, conducted by the
prophet.

“But at 11p.m., the prayer
ended and the prophet left for his home, but suddenly, one Reverend Rose
started shouting that Abiodu was dying. The prophet was called back and holy
water was sprinkled on the woman, who was unconscious,” adding that the woman
was rushed to Central Hospital, Agbor, where she was confirmed dead.

“As I speak, both the
prophet and the landlord of the prayer have been arrested while investigation
is in progress.”
