MARYMOUNT COLLEGE PTA EMBARKS ON N4M CLASSROOM BUILDING

BOJI-BOJI OWA (Ika Weekly) – The Parents Teachers Association  (PTA) of Marymount College, Boji-Boji Owa in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State has embarked on one-story building of six classrooms for the college at an estimated cost of N4million through self-help efforts.

                

The Chairman of the Association Mr. James Omordia who disclosed this in Boji-Boji Owa, said the project which has reached an advanced stage of construction is to create conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in the college.

                

Mr. Omordia who is also the state secretary of Parents/ Teachers Association, Delta State, revealed that apart from the storey building project, members of PTA of the college have been able to provide 200 single tables. 310 chairs, rebuild the collapsed fence of the school as well as erect the structure of the school toilets.

                

The PTA Chairman disclosed that apart from financial contributions, voluntary donations in kind such as carpentry work, painting of the walls and cabinet works would be graceful accepted, and appreciated

                

He remarked that since Marymount College is the only girl’s school in the vicinity, all efforts should be made to uplift the physical status of the school as he appealed to public-spirited individuals to donate generously towards the completion of the project, to enable the state government execute her educational pragrammes, to the benefit of the people.
