ARIMOKWU HAILS APPOINTMENT OF QUEEN MOTHER

The appointment of Queen Mother, Hon. Queen Victoria Ikenchukwu, Ojeba of Agbor Kingdom as Commissioner of Women Affairs, Social and Community Development by the Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has been hailed as a positive development.

           

The assertion was made by Mr. Vincent Arimokwu, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika South Local Government Area. Mr. Arimokwu, who is the Director, I.V Mokus Ventures (Nig) based in Agbor said that the political  happenings in Ika nation and Delta State is a welcome development especially with appointments made so far to the people of Ika nation, describing it as a  well deserved appointments.

           

Mr. Arimokwu who is also the secretary of the Peoples Parliament, Agbor, expressed his conviction that the tenure of the Hon. Commissioner will bring a lot of developments and dividends of democracy to the state, as she has stated her willingness to champion Uduaghan’s three cardinal point programme.

           

He stated that the people of Ika South are particularly proud and honoured by the appointment, saying that, that is an indication of an assurance that sustainable developments will soon come to the area. He noted that the people expressed their joy and appreciation by the way they organized a reception for the Queen Mother immediately after the swearing-in on Friday.

           

Mr. Arimokwu thanked the governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and his deputy, Prof. Amos Utuama for the wise decision in finding the Ojeba worthy to serve in their administration.

           

He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Keagborekuzi 1, for his continued fatherly role towards the development of Delta State in general and Ika nation in particular.

           

Mr. Arimokwu therefore called on Deltans in general and Ika nation in particular to support the commissioner in order to move the state forward.
