IKA NORTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA APC HOLDS WARD CONGRESS – Ika Weekly

The Ward congress of All Progressives Congress (APC) was on Saturday May 5, 2018 held in Ward 7, Akumazi-Umuocha in Ika North East LGA of Delta State at the town hall.

The exercise which attracted residents of the ward was attended by APC leaders in the Local Government and was described as peaceful and hitch free.

In a brief remark, one of the APC stalwarts, Hon. Dada Ijeh thanked the people for their patience and support for the party, urging them to remain calm, focus and work towards ensuring the party’s victory in the 2019 general election. He reiterated that all hands must be on deck to achieve victory.

On his part, the Ward 7 Chairman, Engr. Iyadi Isaac expressed his happiness and gratitude to God for emerging the APC Chairman in Ward 7. He stated that with the large number that turned out for the Congress, victory is sure come 2019. He stressed that the sacrifices they have paid  would not be in vain. Engr. Isaac added that with God on his side, he would free his people from the oppressors in the community, just as God used David in the scripture to save the Israelites from Goliath and his followers. He assured the people of transparent and true leadership.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the congress, the woman leader of the ward, Mrs. Esther Maduagwu and one of the ex-official members, and Mr. Nwanne Benneth Onyeka hinted that they will achieve their goal by working together with one mind. They urged their Chairman to stand firm and ensure that he carries everyone along.

Also speaking,  one of the Ward leaders of the party, Chief Captain (rtd) Gabriel Morka disclosed that APC remains dynamic in its leadership, adding that the party has turned the country around. In his words, “APC has come to stay and we will continue to rule this country. We are going to take over the 2019 govern yadi Isaac Emeke, Chairman; Isima Cyril, Deputy Chairman; Vincent Ochei, General Secretary, among others.
