AGBOR (Ika Weekly) – It was an array of activities last weekend when St. John’s Catholic, Church, Agbor celebrated her youth and children harvest thanksgiving.
In their separate speeches, the parish priest Msgr. Stephen Uzomah, and the youth president, Mr. John hillary Ojebor, advised the youths to always give thanks to God, as that is the only way of evoking blessing from God.
The chairman of the occasion, Mr. Micheal Mordi called on all Christians, especially the youths to embrace peace, adding that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancor and bitterness.
He said there is need for Christians to sow good seeds in the house of God in order to reap bumper harvest, noting that every man will reap whatever he sows.
The highlight of the occasion which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life were the opening of dishes and bazaar sales.
Dignitaries at the occasion include Chief P.O. Abude who functioned as the father of the day, Chief R.S.M. Iromuanya, Mr. Nwabeni I. Lawrence, Dr. Orie, Dr. (Mrs.) O.O. Nwaham, Mrs. A. Nana Augustina, Lady C. Ojobu, Matron Ndu-Okonye and a host of others.
