IKA WEEKLY – Afribank Nigeria Plc is set to commence operations in Agbor soon. This was disclosed by the Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Tony Aluebusede while speaking with newsmen during a carnival public awareness campaign to enlighten the public on Afribank offer of Four billion naira, (N4, 000,000, 000) ordinary shares of 50k each at N25 per share.
Mr. Aluebusede said they have acquired properties in Agbor and Machineries are being put in place to ensure the bank starts its operation not later than four months from now.
He said they decided to site their branch in Agbor because they consider it a strategic place favourable for the bank to thrive and that Ika people are peace loving, even as he noted that they have Ika indigenes who have been banking with them over the years in other places.
The regional manager revealed that they have a network of about one hundred and fifty branches of Afribank in all nooks and corners of Nigeria, including the rural areas, villages and cities. He regretted their citing a branch in Agbor late, which he said is due to reasons that cannot be disclosed now.
Mr. Aluebusede enjoined the public to partner with them in the public offer which is a plausible investment for the future.
He further disclosed that customers should expect a cordial relationship with the bank free time online banking which enables customers to carry out transactions with the bank from any part of Nigeria and Globe which is a software they introduced in the industry to help ease transactions for their customers.
