Ekwunye a member of the PDP in Ward 9 who spoke to Ika Weekly on the issue at
Agbor on Friday 29th May, 2009 said even though he is a member of
Orinmanonye Association, he was not part of the resolution to pass any vote of
confidence on Hon. Isaac Ulebor.

was not part of the decision. The day the vote of confidence was passed I was
not at the meeting. I couldn?t have endorsed such resolution, as I am aware
that Mr. James Ebeye has not been removed as Ika South PDp Chairman. I must
state unequivocally that I was surprised to read the publication that I was
among those who signed the purported vote of confidence on Ulebor? he
explained.

               

Chief
Ekwunye reiterated his unassailable support for the leadership of Mr. Ebeye
saying ?I only recognize Mr. Ebeye as the authentic Ika South PDP Chairman.
They should leave the man alone to complete his tenure, thereafter any other
person can take over, so that peace can reign in the PDP fold in the LGA?.

               

He
said what is needed at this point in time is for every member of the party in
the local government area to rally round the party Chairman for effective
leadership, noting that PDP is one big family and should be seen as that by all
members.
