MBIRI PATRIOTIC UNION LEADER COMMEND GOVERNMENT: Appeals for quick completion of projects

The president, Mbiri Patriotic Union, Rev. Stephen Okoh, has commended both the Ika North-East Local Government Area and the Delta State government for the laudable projects they have initiated in Mbiri. Rev Okoh stated this last week in a chat with Ika Weekly at Agbor. According him the Ika North-East Local Government has renovated the Mbiri market but the council still has to do more by over-looking the compulsory N5,000 they are should be paid by anyone who intends to use any of the stores in the market, so that indigenes and traders coming to transact business in Mbiri will not be scared of using the stores.

Meanwhile, Rev Okoh, on behalf of the Mbiri Patriotic Union expressed gratitude to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the on going construction work on the road leading from Mbiri to the Mbiri Farm Settlement and also for the building of some classroom blocks that has reached a lintel level. He appealed to the state government to please ensure that the listed projects in the community is completed and commissioned.

In the same vein, Rev Okoh said the Mbiri Patriotic Union is making frantic efforts to ensure that a befitting Town Hall is built for the community. He however, called for the total support and co-operations of all Mbiri indigenes just as he assured that the solar water borehole project meant to serve the entire community will soon be completed.

While praying to God to bless the Mbiri monarch, HRM Ifeanyi Alekwe and the entire Mbiri people, he enjoined them to come out en masse and attend the community general conference that will be coming up later this year.
