Here goes our Jim Ovia again!

Although rarely seen or heard from in person in Ika social circles, Jim Ovia has preserved an Omini-rescue presence in the lives of Ika people. Now, he has done again what he does best: Helping suffering Ika people without asking in return.

Just as the people of Ika South are giving up on their political class for failing them and watching helplessly as many roads in Orogodo have become unpassable, never mind political appointees and leaders praising themselves to high heavens for doing nothing, Jim Ovia surprised the people of Imudia street in Boji Boji agbor.

Without fanfare, ceremony or announcement, the people living along Imudia street woke up to an April surprise. As if his action was "just-like-that" Mr. Jim Ovia quietly inspected his project and left without addressing the press or claiming his much deserved praise from Ika people.
Read Ika weekly’s (May 5th 2012) report on Jim Ovia’s latest project below:

The popular Imudia Street in Agbor Delta State, which was formerly ravaged by gully erosion, is about to wear a new look as the former Zenith Bank Managing Director, Jim Ovia is single handedly taking up the cost of constructing the road. The contract was awarded to Aron Nigeria Limited.
When Ika Weekly visited the Street, work was in progress and it was gathered that Jim Ovia visited Agbor on the 27th of April, 2012, where he inspected the street in the early hours of that day. An attempt to reach him was not possible, because at the time Ika Weekly got to his residence in Agbor, he was said to have travelled out of the town.
Speaking to Ika Weekly on the Street, Mr. Saturday Nwaokoro, the chairman of Tipper Park, Agbor Chapter, thanked Jim Ovia for the good work he is doing in Agbor and Nigeria in general, the good roads, schools and banks and how he has given employment to people all over the country. He prayed that God will always protect him and his family from the hands of wicked men.
He also expressed his thanks to the Dein of Agbor kingdom, for his leadership prowess and how he has taken Agbor this far.
Jerry Mike, a driver told Ika Weekly that Jim Ovia is doing a great work in Agbor and the country in general. He charged other eminent Agbor personalities to emulate such kind gesture.
