INCREDIBLE: 10 YEARS OLD PUPIL LAUNCHES BOOK

History was made on Saturday, 2nd February, 2013 as ten years old Otolokpo born primary 5 pupil of Rock of Ages Group of Schools, Boji-Boji, Owa, Onyinye Deborah Philip launched a book, which she authored. The book which is titled �Adopted Child� has fourteen chapters and a total of twenty-two pages. The book launch which was held at Rock of Ages Group of Schols play ground attracted the presence of the Obi of Otolopko, His Royal Majesty, Alioma Collins, Chief Jude Ogbekile, Mr. Jude Ehijene, Chief Benjamin Aliogio, Christian Ezenduka, Proprietor, Rock of Ages Group of Schools, Chief Last Born Ika, the Young Shall Grow Association, Otu Ihien Onye Bu Obi, Idumu-Onye Landlords/Landladies Association, pupils and staff of Rock of Ages Group of Schools, among others.

Reviewing the book, Mr. Ogboi Emeke described it as an impressive literature work saying that the book is a short drama with a major character called Jeff, an adopted child, who succeeded even in the midst of great odds against him. He congratulated Onyinye for achieving such a great feat at a tender age, just as he urged her parents to continue to encourage her educationally.

The chairman of the day, Chief Jude Ogbekile in his speech described the book as very educative, saying that he was shocked when he was told that a ten year old girl is an author of a book. He urged the parents of the young author to take her education seriously by providing for her all that she needed to succeed in her educational pursuit.

On his part, the Obi of Otolokpo commended Onyinye for making her community proud. He equally thanked Chief and Mrs. Kingsley Philip Osagie, Onyinye’s parents for supporting their child’s education, urging them not to relent.

Chief and Mrs. Kingsley Osagie, who were overwhelmed with their daughter’s work, wished her well in her future endeavours. They promised to support her education to any level she would like to reach, just as they appreciated Mr. Ezenduka for the discipline he is impacting on the pupils in his school.
