OTU ONYEN DONZI IHIEN ASSOCIATION LAUDS JIM OVIA

Members of
Otu Onyendonzi Ihien Association of Agbor, Delta State, who are also residents
of  Imudia street Boji-Boji, Agbor have
on Thursday, 7th February 2013 lauded Jim Ovia for the good work he is doing
for them with the rehabilitation of the former death trap on Imudia street to a
well and motorable street for its residents.

                Chief J.E. Imudia, who addressed
the press on behalf of the association, said “we are appreciative of Jim Ovia
for the rehabilitation and tarring of Imudia street from Mariere down to Baleke
axis.” He said the materials used in the rehabilitation work are of high quality
compared to other drainages constructed in Ika land. He also commended the
contractors handling the project for doing a good job, adding that Imudia
street which was seriously damagd by erosion and threatening lives will  wear a new look as residents of Imudia street
can now use the street without fear.

                He also commended the state
government for taken over the upper part of Imudia street starting from Mariere
to Prof. Ebie for repairs. He urged the government to reconstruct the drainages
and use quality materials so that the work will not be destroyed when the rain
begins. He also appeal to the government to channel the flow of flood through
the drainages to Lagos/Asaba expressway, noting that the volume of flood coming
from Emuhu when it rains into Imudia street is high and the gutters are not
also strong enough to hold the flood.

                Chief Imudia warned residents of
Imudia street particularly from Dr. Whyte street down to Baleke street not to
dump refuse in the drainage during rain fall, adding that anyone  caught will be charged to court for
prosecution. He also advised landlords to caution their tenants and not allow
them to miss use the drainage and the street. The community leader also
enjoined the government to also include Ogbesogban and Ozanogogo road for
reconstruction with drainage as the community is also part of Ika South Local
Government Area.

Other member of  the association include  Mr. A.A.U. Ewubor (J.P), Mr. James Okoro, Mr.
Anthony Enwoniefa, Mr. B.C. Ugbobu, Mr. Sunday Egwabor and Mr. Johnson Igumbor
