C.I.E ANGELS TO PLAY DELTA QUEENS

Angels, an Agbor based female football club and the first to play in national
league in Ika land is set to battle it out with Delta Queens in the state
female challenge cup finals, which is taking place on
Saturday 11th May, 2013 at Warri
City stadium.
Speaking to Ika Weekly on phone,
the technical director of the club, Mr. Sonny Osunde expressed optimism that
his club will win the cup, even as he appealed to the people of Ika land to
support the effort which is aimed at discovering and developing young female
footballers in the area.
He appreciated the giant stride
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan is taking to develop Sports in Delta State He urging him not to relent. He also
commended Hon Hilary Ibude for pioneering female football club in Ika land just
as he called on well meaning individuals and organizations to support the club
for it will certainly make Deltans and Nigerians proud one day.
