API SET TO ORGANISE QUIZ COMPETION

The Agbor
Progressive Initiative, a community based organisation that has become the
beautiful pride of Agbor leaders, is on the news again. This time the youth
group plans to hold quiz competition amongst students of public and private
secondary schools in Agbor Kingdom. The quiz, according to the group, would
task students in various fields of study using Agbor as the language to
communicate.

According to a
release signed by Mr. Hilary Agholor and Augustine Emegha, President and
Secretary respectively, tens of thousands of Naira would be presented to winners
in addition to books and other educational materials. Every student and teacher
who attends would also receive books, the statement added.

The event which
holds on May 15, 2013 at Ika National Hall will attract teachers, principals
and stakeholders in the kingdom.

It was gathered
that the intention to organize the competition was hinged on the worrisome
absence of the language in most families especially amongst the working class.

This project,
according to the group, has received support from several leaders in the
community who are disturbed by the trend.

Agbor
Progressive Initiative, API, has within a year of establishment, carved a niche
for itself through funding and executing repairs of failed road section as well
as massive awareness campaigns on topical issues.
