Wonders they say
shall never end as 41 years old man who
gave his name as Mr. Ifeanyi Siweku vandalised the windows of Ika National Hall
building. Mr. Siweku who look like a mentally derailed man committed the evil act on Sunday night, 26th
May, 2013.
Mr. Siweku was caught by the
officers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ika South command. He
disclosed that for the past four years, he has been sleeping in one of the
adjoining rooms in the hall.
Mr. Siweku said that he decided
to make the hall is home after he left his family home due to the insults he
was receiving.
He said he comes in every night
at about 9pm to sleep inside the hall and leaves early morning before the NSCDC officers resumes work.
Speaking with pressmen, the
Divisional Officer of NSCDC in Ika South, Deputy Superintendent A. Coker
expressed sadness, saying that there was no
property in the hall that would make some body to break into it.
Speaking further, he stated that
Mr. Siweku had in the period he secretly lived in the hall vandalised water
taps in the compound.
He said that the Ika south local
government spent millions of naira to build the hall and not for anyone to
vandalize.
He advised those that are
criminally minded to stop damaging government properties.
Not less than 25 windows were
vandalized.
As at the time of filing this
report, Mr. Siweku has been handed over to the men of Agbor police for interrogation.
