91 YEARS OLD MAN CRIES OUT OVER 7 YEARS NON PAYMENT OF PENSION

An 91 years
man, Hon. Alika Ignatius Azobulem, a native of Owa Alero, Ika North East local
government area of Delta State over the weekend in a chat  with Ika Weekly correspondent cried out over
the non payment of his seven years pension arrears by the federal government.

According
to him “Since 2005, I have not been paid pension allowances. I served this
country, under Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs Commission, Agbor, Delta
State. We have been going to Asaba every now and again for one form of
screening to the other. And some of my mates have lost their lives during the
process. The government should know that we are senior citizens and should
treat us as such. I am appealing to the government to listen to our demands and
promptly pay us our pension allowances and save us from untold hardship that
has bedeviled us over the years, what do you think I should be living on?
Government, please hear our cry and do something positive before things get out
of hand,” the nonagenarian pleaded.
