in Agbor passed a vote of confidence on their leader, Hon Dr. Cairo
Ojougboh. The motion for the vote of confidence on Ojougboh was moved
by Hon. Chuks Osunde and supported by Hon. Pastor Mrs. Cordelia Onya.
Among those who supported the motion was a chairmanship aspirant in
the local government, Mr. Ehi Ewubor.
to the PDP members, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh is a selfless and result
oriented political leader who since he joined politics has been
working seriously for the growth and development of Ika South, Delta
State and Nigeria in general. They said anyone criticizing Ojougboh
on the pages of newspaper is an enemy of Ika South.
said contrary to Chief Elder Ehikwe allegation that Ojougboh hijacked
every position in the council in his two and half paged open letter
to him said that Ojougboh only nominated the transition committee
chairman Engr. Andrew Obiazi, while the remaining position went to

Ogwu, Hon Isaac Ulebor, Hon. Cordelia Onya, and Chief Isioma Okonta.

a related development, the PDP chairman in Ika South, Hon Isaac
Ulebor has declared that there will be no benefit for anyone who is
not working with the party Leadership in the local government. Hon.
Ulebor who addressed an enlarged number of party supporters last
Friday at the party’s secretariat said the forthcoming council
election is not going to be based on how much you have to spend but
how much you have contributed to the growth of PDP. He told all those
having ambitions in the October 25 local government election to go
back to their wards to announce their intension, stating that Ika
South PDP is one big family that will not allow political jobbers to
distract it from implementing the good plans it has for the people of
the local government.
