MOTHER OF 5 RENDERED HOMELESS

It was a
sympathetic moment as the roof of Mrs. Rose Nwachokor, a widow of 5 children at
Ute-Ogbeje in Ika North East local government area, was blown off by windstorm
that accompanied the heavy downpour of Monday evening on November 3, 2014.

                Narrating the unfortunate
incident to newsmen, Mrs. Rose Nwachokor said she and her children were in the  house when the rain started. “The heavy wind
storm that accompanied the rainfall ripped off the ceiling and roof of my
building. My children and I had to take our heels looking for shelter. Bags of
cement I had struggled to raise money to buy for the maintance of my building
and other properties got damaged during the heavy downpour.”

Mrs. Nwachokor who was in tears
stated that she does not know how to raise money to re-roof the building,
lamenting that she and her children are now homeless.

At the time Ika Weekly n newsmen
visited the site of the wreckage. Rose Nwachokor and her children indeed are in
need of urgent rehabilitation.
