AMERICA CONSULAR GENERAL VISITS FELIX MORKA

 The Consular General of the American Embassy in
Nigeria, Mr. Jeff Perkins on Thursday, November 13, 2014, paid a courtesy visit
to a renowned Agbor born international lawyer, human right activist and All
Progressives Congress aspirant for house of assembly Hopeful, Barr Felix Morka,
in his Agbor residence.

                Mr.
Perkins in an interview with journalists after a close door meeting with Barr
Morka said that he was in Agbor with his team because the United States of
America is interested in the electoral process in Delta State. He added that as
friends of Nigeria, America wants to ensure that the 2015 general elections are
transparent and violence free.

                Also
in an interview, the host, Barr Felix Morka said that the essence of the visit
of the American consular General  is to
see how they can help Nigeria to conduct a credible, free and fair election in
2015.

                Barr
Morka who is a member of the board of Niger Delta legacy set up by the American
government said they are looking for ways the 2015 elections can be free and
fair particularly, in the Niger Delta. He disclosed that the elections in Ika
South local government will be globally monitored because he is involved. While
using the medium to appeal to actors in the election to play it maturely, Morka
said, “if really we are in for the good of 
our people, there is need for us to show maturity, mutual understanding
respect and commitment all though the election period, Let us play by the rule
and be equitable in the way we engage. He stated that what drives him is beyond
partisan politics, Barr Morka said he would continue to support vision, values
or anything that will advance the courage of Ika South.

                Mr.
Peter Anumele, Chief Charles Nigeria and Mr. Nenyiaba Akpenyi who were present
during the visit, in separate interview commended the effort of Felix Morka at
ensuring a peaceful election in Ika South and Delta State in general. They
advised the APC House of Assembly hopeful, not to relent in his patriotic work
for his people.

                Also
the secretary, Agbor Community, Hon M.N Odiase praised Barr Morka for not only
bringing the consular general to Agbor but for also supporting the efforts
which the Agbor community is marking to move Agbor forward. He particularly
commended Morka for playing active roles that led to the ordering of fresh
registration exercise by INEC after the voters list for Ika South was allegedly
declared missing
