DTSG EARMARKS N2. 2bn FOR DREDGING OROGODO RIVER

IKA WEEKLY – The perennial flooding and erosion menace in Boji-Boji metropolis, will soon be a thing of the past as the Delta State Government said it has approved the dredging of the Orogodo River at a cost of N2.2 billion

                            

The State Information Commissioner, Mr. Oma Djebah who announced this in Asaba while briefing the journalists said that an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been carried out on the dredging project

                            

Oma Djebah further disclosed that the State Executive Council has also approved an upward 25 percent mobilization free for the project which include the construction of associated erosion measures at Agbor and its environs
