AGBOR (Ika Weekly) – Joe Morgan the son of the music legend, late Dr. C.K. Morgan is set to capture the music industry as he prepares to launch and release the video album of his hit record titled “Adopio” into the market.


In a chat with Ika Weekly on Tuesday, Mr. Joe Morgan who was exuding joy and excitement as a result of the forth-coming launch of the video album stated that all arrangements have been put in place for the success of the event, which he said will place at Pace Hotel Garden, Agbor on the 15th  of September, 2007 at 12 noon.


Mr. Morgan whose dynamism and contribution to the Nigerian music industry is notable started his musical career at a very tender age in 1984, when he joined his late father’s band. He took over the band after the unfortunate demise of his father in 1996.


It should be recalled, especially by the elderly in our midst that Dr. C.K. Morgan was a household name in the Nigerian music industry, particularly in the high life circle. He started his music group with the name Dr. C.K. Morgan and his Black Angels, and later changed the name to Dr. C.K Morgan and his black 7 (seven) before finally settling for the name, Dr. C.K. Morgan and his Oworwor Brothers for which he was renowned. His death which could have created a big vacuum was covered by his son, Joe Morgan who incidentally is doing very well if not even better than as the late father did.


Joe Morgan has to his credit, the following albums; Kibuhe-Oku Owun, C.K Nodin Nma, Suzi 1 – Girl Do U Luv Me, Suzi 2 – Who Be Dis Girl, Europe Tour 2003 (which covered; Germany and Holland), Lady, released in Europe and Adopio; Europe Tour 2 (2007 which covered Austria and Italy. It is the video album of Adopio that he is about to launched at Pace Hotel, Agbor. According to the young musician and entertainer, the video album is going to be a smash. It will feature all his tour and activities in Europe. He disclosed that the event is being sponsored by Nigeria Brewery Ltd. He equally revealed that Oworwor is now a registered company, called Oworwor Culture (Nig) Ltd and has him as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer.


Joe Morgan stated that dignitaries from the business and political circles will grace the occasion and they include Hon. Prince Sam Obi, Hon. Barr. Martins Okonta and Hon. Doris Uboh who will be Special Guests and many others.
