Mr. Ibegbulem who spoke with newsmen immediately after
the commissing of the renorated civic centre executed by the group, said that
there was no going back in the choice of an
Agbor indigene to represent the LGA at the House of Assembly. Saying
that he was not particularly interested on the party platform the person will
emerge, he stressed that it must be an Agbor person as the time has come for
the people to have  their own
representative at Asaba. “That is the undeniable position of Agbor N’igidi
Renaissance group and indeed every patriotic Agbor men and women. We are saying
it loud and clear. We are not going to compromise on it.”

He warned that the people of Agbor will no longer
tolerate to imposition of any candidate for any position, particularly the
House of Assembly slot. “ This time people will speak with one voice. There be
no room for imposition. Any person or politician that comes to tell us that the
party or the governor has endorsed any candidate will be regarded as the every
of Agbor. The people should be allowed to choose the person to represent their
interest at Asaba. We do not need a surrogate who is only answerable to his
boss and not the people. Enough is enough” he warned.

Mr. Ibegbulem while calling in Agbor people to unite
and work collectively for the good of the kingdom, he gave kudos to the
secretary to the State Government, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the publisher of This Day
Newspapers, Mr. Nduka Obangbena, Ambassador Godson Echiegile and Mr. Nduka
Irabor, saying they have made significant and indelible contributions to the
development of Owa Kingdom. He therefore challenge sons and daughters of
influence to emulate these individuals who
in his words “have done so much in uplifting Owa Kingdom adding that “we
have people of such caliber in Agbor Kingdom they should come out and help
develop Agbor”

On the motivation behind the renovation of the palace
reception Hall, the Agbor Nigidi president said it was to enhance the palace to
match the towering status of the Dein, who he observed is well known and highly
respected across the country. “We felt that what we had then was not befilling
to the status of our highly respected king, so we had to come together to do
something to uplift Agbor kingdom, I am using this opportunity to tell other
people and group to come and build Agbor. We should all think alike to move our
Kingdom forward. We should unite and not allowed politicians with selfish
interest to continue to deceive and divide us”.
