DR. (ENGR.) AJABOR CLOCKS 50

AKUMAZI-UMUOCHA (Ika Weekly) – It was a beehive of activities on Friday as Akumazi-Umuocha in Ika North East Local Government Area as played host to dignitaries from all walks of life who felicitated with the Director of Rural Water Supply Agency (RUWASA) Dr. (Engr) Chukwudi Edward Ajabor on his 50th birthday cum 23rd wedding anniversary celebrations.

 

In his welcome address, Engr. Ajabor said he is a child of destiny who has been experiencing the faithfulness of God Almighty in life and family.   

 

He said the miraculous hands of God brought him from a very humble background to an elevated position, and therefore called on the guests to always pray for him as he continues with his assignment of adding meaning to people’s lives.

         

It was a joyous moment for the Ajabor’s family as they thanked God and danced to the admiration of the quests.

         

Speaking at the occasion, the special adviser to the State Governor on what and former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) publicity secretary, Barister John Nani eulogized the good character of Engr. Ajabor and advised all to emulate his selfless way of handling issues that have to do with progress and development.

         

The climax of the occasion was the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrants supported by friends and well wishers.

         

Dignitaries at the occasion were the Hon. Commissioner for special duties, Hon. Ross Uridi, Economic adviser to Delta State Government, Chief Clement Ofuani, special adviser to Delta State Government and former PDP Publicity Secretary. Bar. John Nani, Princess Ijenwa Okwunonke of the Urban and rural water resources, Asaba among others.

         

Dr. (Engr.) Chukwudi Edward Ajabor was born on the 28th day of August, 1957 in Ibadan.

         

He obtained his masters in Engineering management, Banking and finance, and strategic management from University of Benin, Imo State University and National open University/Nigeria institute of strategic management Lagos respectively, and Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from Atlas University, U.S.A.

         

Dr. Ajabor is a member of many professional bodies, and has held positions which include, State Co-ordinator Rural Water (DFRRI) in the defunct Bendel State, Acted as General manager of Rural Water supply Agency (RUWASA), acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources Development, Asaba among other.    

Inspite of his tight schedule, Dr. Ajabor has time to watch movies, listen to music, travel and water flowers which he says are his hobbies.
