ACN PRIMARY: DR. MRS. OKOBAH EMERGES AS CANDIDATE FOR HOUSE OF REPS; ALIKA EMERGES FOR HOUSE ASSEMBLY IKA SOUTH

s  of Nigeria candidate for the  April, 2011 general election. She emerged
after beating her opponent Mr. Alfred Ighogbe Okoruwe, in a keenly contested
primary election Thursday 13th, January, 2011 at the twenty-six different wards
in both Ika North East and Ika South Local Government.

Speaking
to newsmen after the announcement of the result for Ika South at the party
senatorial chairman, house, Chief James Ebeye, at Uromi Junction, Agbor the ACN
Ika South Local Government chairman, Mr. Edwin Okoh, thanked all party
executives, supporters, members of the screening committee, the various ward
chairmen and the aspirants for the proper conducts which they exhibited all
through the period the primary elections 
lasted, declaring that all ACN aspirants that won in the election are
now automatic candidates of the party who will bear its flag at the April
general elections.

Describing
the election as peaceful, Mr. Okoh reminded all ACN faithful particularly party
candidates, that all  hands must be on
deck, by committing all their efforts, time and resources to the challenges
ahead so that they will all achieve victory at the poll.

Expressing
optimism that ACN will win the House of Representatives, State Assembly
seats,  including governorship and
presidency position, he appealed to all electorate from the age of eighteen
years and above to be law abiding by taking active part in the INEC
registration exercise that will be starting nationwide on 15th January, 2011.

“Our
major weapon for a free and fair election 
is our votes and we cannot vote without participating in INEC
registration. Hence, let us come out enmasse and register. Our destiny is in
our hands, for that reason, I am urging all electorate to take the INEC
registration exercise seriously by being registered, so  that they can have the ability,
compatibility, and the enablement to vote in their choice and  credible candidate which has been their
dream” Mr. Okoh stated .

Dr.
Mrs. Isioma Okobah, who described her victory at the primary as victory for the
masses, urged all  the good people of Ika
to rally round her by casting their votes for he and other candidates of the
party in the general election as ACN is truly out to make total and positive
change in Ika land.

In
another development, Mr. Anthony Alika won the Ika South, State House of
Assembly ticket. He defeated his close rival, Mr. Moses Eboigbe, after scoring
870, vote out of the 1315 accredited voters. While his fellow contestant scored
436 votes.
