The remains of
Major Fracis Agboegbulem Igbedion, (RTD) was laid to rest on Friday 7th
October at his residence,, N0 347 Obi Ikechukwu Road, Ime-Obi, Agbor.

Speaking with Ika Weekly, the first son of the
deceased, Mr. Kennedy Igbedion said his father has left a big vacuum in the
family because he was the only surviving Agboegbulem child before he died. He
pointed out that the legacy his father left behind is what he would not fail to
sustain, adding that now that he is the eldest child, it is now his
responsibility to carry his family along

Mr. Kennedy
further disclosed that  his father made a
tremendous impart while on earth, describing him as a God fearing and peaceful
man with impeccable character who endeared himself to all and sundry. He said
they  will miss their late patriarch
because of the good life he lived and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

Meanwhile, the
eldest daughter of the deceased, Mrs. Francesca Mgbeken, described her father
as a fun loving man who took his family as one without disunity, saying that
nobody talked bad about her father because of his unbiased and benevolent
character.

Major Francis
Agboegbulem Igbedion, (RTD) was born on 11th July, 1935. He enlisted
into the Nigerian Army in 1956; where he rose to the rank of a Major in 1984;
he retired in 1991 and died on 20th July, 2011

The burial
ceremony was attended by family members, friends well wishes and dignitaries
from all works of life.
