UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL POLICE OFFICER AT ALIHAME

It was a dark day for the entire residents of Victory Villa situated in Alihame community, between Mum and Dad Hostel, as unidentified gunmen stormed the hostel and shot one Mr. Endurance Osamu, a police officer with Agbor Zone division on Thursday 22nd March, 2012 at about 9.pm.

Disclosing the ugly incident to Ika Weekly, a source revealed that at about 8.pm -9pm, on that fateful evening, Mr. Osamu was right inside his room relaxing with his wife, when they heard a knock at the door, and he opened, when suddenly he saw a group of unknown gunmen, who didn’t negotiate anything with him, but immediately shot him.

Speaking further to Ika Weekly, another source who resides in the same building revealed that Mr. Osamu who hails from kwale has been a peaceful neighbour, but tragedy struck on that fateful day when unknown gunmen arrived the compound at about 9.pm and moved straight to Mr. Osamu’s door, then there was a kind of exchange of words, and misunderstanding occurred between the two parties, and suddenly Mr. Osamu was shot dead.

Ika Weekly gathered that, the police, in their effort to investigate and bring the culprits to book, have been combing the streets of Alihame with police vans patrolling the streets.

As at the time of filing this report, the remains of the police man has been deposited in a mortuary at the Central Hospital Agbor.
