IKA WEEKLY BAGS BEST NEWSPAPER AWARD OF THE YEAR AS DEGA WORLD HOLDS AWARD NIGHT

A tabloid newspaper in Ika nation, Ika weekly was on Friday night September 12, 2014 presented with the certificate of merit for being voted as the newspaper of the year by Delta State Gospotainment Awards (DEGA). The DEGA’s award night was all fun as contestants showcased their talents.
The beneficiaries creative minds theatre, best drama, De-Eagle mass choir, best mass choir, comedian Kpachakus, best comedian of the years, Miss. Glory George, face of Dega 2014, Giftson production, movie production of the years and Prince Possibility, gospel artist of the year.
Speaking to newsmen, the chief executive officer of blacksnipe entertainment company, Mr. Frank Ogwu stated that the entertainment company gave industry of Blacksnipe Entertainment Company. The certificate of merit award presented was to encourage and give recognition to entertainment firms that are doing well”.
He urged the recipients of the award never to be discourage but strive to work harder, saying that if you are not a nobody, you can never be somebody. Mr. Ogwu thanked everyone who took part in the event.
On his part, Mr. Cyril Ogwu described the event as successful one. He charged all participants of DEGA’s award never to give up as they maybe announced tomorrow. He said the event was aimed at promoting and encouraging talented gospel artist.
In their words of appreciation, Mr. Gift Okwudili Okolo, Mr. Godspower Oriehi, Prince Possibility eulogized DEGA’s world. They said that the event is first of its kind in Ika nation, urging the awardee to make the event yearly.
