UMUNEDE MONARCH CONFERS TITLE ON CHIEF & CHIEF MRS. EBOH

UMUNEDE, Ika North East (Ika Weekly) – Umunede Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State experienced another celebration as her illustrious son and daughter were honoured with traditional chieftaincy titles.

           

The August celebration drew personalities from within and outside the state, to felicitate with the recipients.

           

The Royal father of the Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Dr. Agadagidi, Ezeagwu, Ezenwali 1, (JP) the Obi of Umunede conferred the titles on the couple, Chief and Chief (Mrs) Peter Eboh in his palace on Monday.

 

Chief Peter E.C. Eboh was honoured with “Ojekpolo” of Umunede Kingdom, while his wife Chief (Mrs) Taiye Sophia Eboh with “Ogoli” of Umunede Kingdom.

           

In the address at the occasion the Royal Father, said that honour should be given to whom it is due. He further said that Chief Peter Eboh was his classmate in their primary school days, and has been a good friend since then, adding that  Chief Eboh has been of good behaviour, hard-working and committed to whatever he does.

           

Speaking further, his Highness urged the recipients to justify the confidence reposed in them, by contributing to the development of Umunede Kingdom.

           

Responding on behalf of herself and her husband, Chief Mrs. Taiye Sophia Eboh said the conferment of the titles will make them work harder. She thanked God and the Royal Palace for the honour done to them.

           

A politician and a philanthropist of note, Mrs. Jones Odogun thanked God on behalf of Chief & Chief Mrs. Peter Eboh.
