IME-OBI COMMUNITY BACKS CHUKY DADDY’S ASPIRATION

The people of Ime-Obi in Ika south local government Area gathered in their numbers on Sunday, August 15, 2010 to declare their unflinching support for the House of Representatives aspiration of Mr. Festus ChukwuyemOkoh.

At the event, which was graced by Chiefs and community leaders, including the youths in the area, the Ozomor of Agbor kingdom, Chief Sam Agbogun said that it had become imperative for the people of Ika nation to have as their representative in Abuja, a young, dynamic and vibrant personality as Mr. Okoh, who is popularly referred to as Chuky Daddy, by friends and admirers.

Chief Agbogun while noting that it was a positive development having Mr. Okohindicate interest for the House of Representatives seat for Ika federal constituency called on the people of Ika nation to give the needed backing to the aspirant whom he said will deliver the dividends of democracy from the national level to Ikaland.

"Everybody should rally round him and ensure he becomes the eye and ear of our people at Abuja. He is most qualified in all ramification, having achieved and done so much for the community. He is our son and we must support him to achieve his political ambition. We will not regret sending him to Abuja to represent our collective interest. The entire Ihuzomor is solidly behind him," he stated.

Speaking on behalf of Ime-Obi community, Chief Sunday Orumgbe, the Okwuezeku of Agbor kingdom reiterated the resolve of the people of the area to stand solidly behind Chuky Dandy, whom he described as a youngman who feels and identifies with the people at the grassroot.

Praising the philanthropic disposition of the House of Representative aspirant, Chief Orungbe noted that he is vast and exposed, adding that over the years, the youngman has proven himself a worthy son if Ika nation. "As a youth he will effectively pursue the interest, of our children especially in the area of empowerment. I also know that he will not forget the women, neither will be neglect the interest of the men. He is an all round person, who is passionate about the well being of his people."

In the same vein Mr. Cyril Okogi pointed out that the massing support being extended to Mr. Okoh, particularly from the youths was borne out of the many assistance he has rendered to a lot of youths, who today are doing well in their different endeaviours. .

In his remarks Mr. Festus Okoh said that his priority, if elected will be the empowerment of the youths and women in Ika land. He promised to give purposeful representation, saying that his stay at the National Assembly will attract development to Ika federal constituency.

He however advised the people to endeavour to make themselves available for the forth coming voter’s registration exercise, as according to him "that is the only power you have to vote for the candidate of your choice during election. I therefore crane your indulgence to register."
