d the claim of
many residents in Ika land that the PDP leadership in the two Ika local government
area will continue after May 29, 2011, saying
that with the current crave for the principle of One man One vote by the
masses, ACN will win the House of Representatives and State Assembly seats in Ika land.
Mr. Obaye, who
is aspiring for a councillorship position in ward 7, Ika South under the ACN
platform stated this on Monday during an interaction with Ika Weekly on the fate of
ACN in the 2011 general elections with
a particular reference
to Ika land.
In his words,
“the ACN in Ika land at the moment is doing very well, and is seriously
preparing to win all elective positions in Ika land, this year, 2011. With the
principle of One man One vote being propagated by Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck
Ebele Jonathan, we are very expectant that we will experience free and fair
election in this general election. If that is achieved, no doubt ACN win all
its election in Ika land.”
The ACN scribe
continued that with the caliber of contestants in the party such as Mr. Alfred
Okoruwe, Dr. Mrs. Isioma Okobah, Mr. Tony Alika and Mr. Christian Okpambor,
victory is inevitable.
“Ika people
should support our candidates for total
change in Ika land”, he pleaded.
In the same
vein, Mr. Obaye thanked God for the success of the just concluded Delta State
governorship re-run election, which he
described as peaceful and laudable, revealing that as a Party agent he witnessed all that
preceded during the election in Ika South, which unlike before, was devoid of
rigging.
He commended
both the state and national leadership of INEC for doing a very good job even
when they had a very little time at their disposal, urging them, to take the
national registration exercise coming up in January 15, very seriously so that they will be able to conduct credible
election for the country.
While positing
that positive change must come to Nigeria this year through the election of
credible leaders, he pleaded with the
general public to come out and register massively in the INEC registration
exercise, adding that when they are registered they stand the chance of
electing trusted leaders that will not fail in their promises.
