CORPS PUTS SMILE ON FACES AS SHE DONATES…

 

A kumazi community is delighted with
a serving National Youth  corps member,
Miss Fidelia Chinelo Uegbu for donating items worth five Hundred thousand Naira
to Akumazi Mixed Secondary School and Akumazi Health Centre in Akumazi Umuocha
in Ika North East Local Government Area.

                The
donation which was made on the 31st of May 2013 include; One Desktop computer,
Laser Printer, science laboratory equipment, microscope, first and box, text
books for the school library and waste baskets, and many other items.

                Commissioning
the items, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Princess Ijenwa Okunoke who was
represented by (NULGE) chairman, Comrade Azikiwe Collins, said that the
potentials of the youths should be harnessed to benefit mankind. It is not
compulsory that you must be a graduate before you can succeed in life. He
commended Miss Unegbu for her generosity and prayed God to replenish her
abundantly. In her response, Miss Unegbu said that she was motivated to donate
those items because of her love for Akumazi children and women. She expressed
her displeasure over the rate of unemployment and moral decadence in the
society. She expressed confidence that the items will be put to judicious use.

                She
appreciated God for all she had done. She also appreciated personalities that
contributed in cash and kind to make the donation a success, among whom are HRM
Obi Stephen C. Osagie III JP, Bishop Micheal Odogwu Elue, Hon, Princess Ijenwa
Okwunke, Hon. Okafor Wallace, Sir Charles Aniagwu, Engr. Peter Aniagwu, Mrs.
Orabor, and Chief Amos Onyeagwu Chief inspector of Education in the area,
represented by Mr. Aghanti Gabriel. The principal of the school Mr. thanked
Miss Unegbu for the donation. He thanked all contributors for making the donors
initiative a success. He also thanked the (NYSC) authority and all education
agencies that contributed to the advancement of education in Akumazi. He
appealed to Akumazi sons and daughters to provide permanent accommodation for
corp members posted to the area. He also appeal for the provision of toilet and
urinary for the school.

                The
representative of state coordination of (NYSC) Mr. Ariabor Peter, Vice
Principal the school, Chief C.C Adoseh, the chairman, P.T.A, Mr. F. O Onyeije
and others also expressed great satisfaction to Miss Unegbu.
