The relative
peace and tranquility that was hitherto witnessed in Ika nation has been cut
short due to the killing of one, Isioma Nweke, also known as “Coded Man,” on
Wednesday April 15, at Umunede in Ika North East Local Government Area by
person suspected to be cultists. The deceased who was aged 31 year, hails from
Owerre-Olubor.
Ika Weekly was informed that the cult clash between the Neo-Black
Movement, (Black Axe) and Vickings confraternity (Bargers) claimed the life of
Isioma. Iisioma was said to have been traced from his residence in Agbor to
where he was gunned down behind Total Filling station, Umunede. His death has
thrown his family members and community people into mourning.
When Ika Weekly reporter visited
the home of Isioma, his uncle, Chief
Edward Ehinze said the killers of Isioma are yet to be identified. He stated
that Isioma was not known by the family to be involved in cult activities. He
described Isioma as a good son of the family, stressing that his death was a
painful one
Isioma’s friends described him
as a jolly good fellow who was loved by many. At the time of filling this
report, the remains of Isioma have been lowered to mother earth. He is survived
by a pregnant wife, children, aged mother and relatives.
