Ika South PDP passes confidence vote in Onyibe, others

MEMBERS of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State have passed vote .of confidence in four distinguished political office holders from the local government. They are the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Magnus Onyibc, the member representing Ika Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Cairo Ojougboh, the Deputy Majority Leader in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr) Martins Okonta and the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Sunny Ogwu.

The motion which was moved by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Party in the area, Mr Paul Edi’on during an enlarged meeting of the PDP faithfuls at the Party’s secretariat was support by Mr Sunday Okwuegbuno LIweifoh from Ward 12; The motion was unanimously adopted by PDP faithfuls who thronged the party secretariat on Mariere Street, Orogodo-Agbor for the meeting which was hosted by Hon. (Barr.) Martins Okonta. Members of the party who exuded the administrative and leadership qualities of the four, Mr. Onyibe, Mr Ojougboh, Barrister Okonta and Hon. Ogwu said that they were greatly impressed with their performance index.

They urged them not to relent in their efforts aimed at attracting meaningful development to their constituency, adding that they (members of the Party) were solidly behind them. Similarly, members of the party have equally passed a vote of confidence in the PDP Chairman in the local government, Sir Jimmy Okolie (JP) and the entire leadership of the local government executive of the party.

Speaking, the party faithfuls said that they were highly impressed with the way the leadership of the PDP as been piloting the affairs of the party which, they said is contributed significantly to the enhancement of the Party’s profile and its fortunes. In his speech, the party Chairman, Sir Okolie thanked members of the PDP for their unalloyed support, dedication and commitment to the party, adding that they should remain focused and committed to the ideals of the PDP.

Meanwhile, Mr Okolie has congratulated the governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori for successfully hosting President Olusegun Obasanjo during his three-day working visit to Delta State, saying that the entire people in Ika South Local Government are praying for the governor.
