AKUMAZI (Ika Weekly) – Catholic Faithful have been admonished to continue to maintain good relationship with God. The charged was given by Rt Rev. (Dr.) Michael Elue, the Catholic Bishop of Isele-Uku Diocese during his visit to St. Joseph Parish Akumazi-Umnocha in Ika North East Local Governemnt Area of Delta State.
Parishioners gathered between Akumazi Umuocha and Owere-Olubor to welcome him to his home town. The Bishop was accompanied in a curtesy visit to the Royal Father of his community, His Royal Majesty, Stephen Chukwuyemeze Osajie III (JP) the Obi of Akumazi Kingdom. Right there in the palace, the Obi gave him his Royal blessings and appreciated God for giving them such a wonderful personality.
In a sermon he preached at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bishop Elue said that of all the churches in the world, Catholic is the best, adding that without eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus Christ, such person will not be qualified to be in the kingdom of God as stated by the holy scripture.
He added that his visit to his country home, Akumazi-Umuocha is a memorable one as it will mark the end of evil re-occurrence in the land.
