The former PDP ward chairmen who said they were highly
impressed with the political ascendancy of Dr. Ojougboh, who is the Special
Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, said it will be in the
interest of the people, of Delta North to support him so that he can use his
political contact and experience to deliver the dividends of democracy to the

for many years. He has been a Personal Assistant to a former Minister of Works,
Chief Tony Anenih. He was also a vibrant member of the House of
Representatives, where he made robust and valuable contributions to debates in
the floor of the House. We should not lose sight of the fact that he was
chairman of House committee on Petroleum Resources for the 4 years he was
there. It shows that he has his political root at the national level. He
understands the terrain very well. We know that he is politically qualified to
represent Delta North at the Senate” states Chief Ifeanyi Akwete Uwayah who spoke
on behalf of the group.
The group therefore called on the people of the area
to give an unflinching support to Dr. Ojougboh to enable clinch the Senate

attention of the federal government to Delta North.
Other members of the group include Mr. Monday Morka,

Owah, Philip Odiase and Lawrence Alika. They said that they were solidly behind
Dr. Ojougboh and are in complete agreement of what their chairman, Chief Akwete
