AGBOR – An attempt by Ika South councillors to pass a vote of no confidence and subsequently remove the speaker of the Hon Evance Ughe (Ward 5a) on 20th September 2018 led to a free for all fist fight at Ika South Secretariat. Some of the legislators were bloodied and battered during the fracas.
Although the prompt arrival of the police brought the situation under control, the police siezed and took the mace away. This added to the the confusion. The Councillors reportedly relocated to the Ime – Obi residence of Hon Okoh C Festus (Chuky Dandy), member representing Ika South at the Delta State House of Assembly for closed door meeting with the Honourable Member.
