It was a great
display of skills last weekend at Agbor public field when the Abundance
Football Club clashed with the Classic Football Club in a friendly match that
ended in a 2-2.
The match which started by 4pm
witnessed a large turn out of supporters and sports lovers across Ika land. In
the first 45 minutes of play, the Abundance F.C took over the game which
resulted in the first goal scored by Abundance striker, Alex. After the goal,
the Abundance F.C mounted more pressure to put in more goals, but to no avail;
unfortunately Classic F.C. equalized.
In the second half, Abundance F.C. scored the second goal which
was later equalized by Classic F.C.
Speaking to newsmen, after the
end of the match, the team manager of
Abundance F.C, Mr. Percy Monday Edoki said he appreciated God for the wonderful
display of his boys, noting that they performed beyond his expectation.
He said that the female team of
the club (Abundance Queens) are also doing well, adding that they will be
playing a friendly match against Aniocha
Queens next weekend, while the Abundance F.C. will also play a friendly match
with the Gunners F.C.
Mr. Edoki added that the purpose
of organizing friendly matches is to
select players that will be registered in
national leagues. He also thanked the chairman of the club, Chief Jude
Ogbekile for his contributions.
