OWA-ALERO SAGA: 62 CULTIST RENOUNCE MEMBERSHIP

 

Owa-Alero
community in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State is beginning
to enjoy relative peace, as sixty-two cult members (names withheld) on 17th
May, 2013  renounced from cultism.

                Addressing
the youths, Hon Ifeanyi Egboigbe, said that cultism and drug abuse  (marijuama)  
is a bad thing in the society. He 
advised the youths who are yet to take advantage of the “Olive branch”
to do so, “They should submit their guns or face the  wrath of the law.”

                Speaking on the matter, Hon
Lawrence Celestine, the caretaker committee member representing ward 2B at the council,
and a secretary to the Owa-Alero community vigilante group, applauded the
efforts so far made by the unit vigilante group in curtailing cultism. He
warned those who are pretending to have renounced, without dropped their guns
to do so immediately.

                He thanked the members of the
ultimatum committee set up by the community leaders; Hon Ifeanyi Egboigbe, Mr.
Sunday A.K.A Echeamillion, Ambassador Godson Echigile for their contributions
towards the peace and unity of Owa-Alero community.
