OWA-OFIE, ALIZOMOR YOUTHS THROW WEIGHT BEHIND BENJAMIN OKWUBE

 

Some youths from
ward 6 Owa Ofie and Owa Alizomor communities have thrown their weight behind
the chairmanship aspirant for Ika Northeast local government area council,
Comrade Benjamin Okwube who is contesting under the platform of Peoples
Democratic Party.   

The meeting
which took place on Wednesday 22nd May, at Owa-Alizomor was well attended.

Speaking during
the meeting, the youth leader Mr. Isioma Onuodafin, aka Oso, stated that honour
should be given to whom it  is due. He
added that Mr. Benjamin Okwube deserves to be supported by the youths as a
result of his kind gesture to the region. He charged the youths to be wise and
conscious of whoever they call leader, stressing that it is only when the
youths love one another that they will enjoy the goodness of Mr. Okwube.

In his brief
speech, the chairmanship aspirant thanked the people for their large turn out,
adding that he has seen the prevailing circumstances in the area which is
militating against the development in the different communities and has decided
to vie for the position in order to better the lives of the people. Mr. Okwube
who is the managing director of Benco Pools Ltd, said when elected into office,
he will legally carry out his assignments and promote unity in the party. He
added that if he is given the opportunity to represent his people at the local
government level, his administration will also attract a qualitative and
effective representation. Some of the youths, Eseka Augustine Igwe and Dennis
Uzoka   who spoke commended Mr. Okwube
for agreeing to engage in active politics, even as they advised him not to give
up until he achieved his goal.

They appreciated
all those who came and advised  the youth
not to be afraid of supporting any effort that will help uplift the
society.
