MOSERI COMMISSIONS TWO-CLASSROOMS BLOCK

OWA-ALIZOMOR (Ika Weekly)- It was a joyous moment on the 4th of October, when Chief Mrs. P.T Moseri the Ugochukwu Tume Onye of Agbor Kingdom, Commissioned and officially handed over block of two classroom built at Ozomor Primary School, Owa-Alizomor by her husband, Dr. L.J Moseri at a cost of 3.4 million naira to the Chief Inspector of Education (C.I.E), of Ika North East Local Government Area, Mr. Alex Ukubeyinje.

 

Chief Mrs. Moseri said she was presenting to staff, pupils of Ozomor Primary School and the entire community, the block of classrooms, water system toilet, a deep well sunk in the school premises and chairs for the comfort of pupils and for the upliftment of Education in the community.

                            

She also said, that her husband, Dr. Moseri provided the structures because of his belief that the greatest legacy parents can bequeath to their children is quality education.

 

She said children need conducive environment and accommodation for meaningful learning, adding that the building of these classrooms for the school is to provide the required facilities.

 

The headmistress of the school, Mrs. Okoh V.A, gave thanks to God Almighty and expressed her profound gratitude to their illustrious son, Dr. L.J. Moseri for his kind gesture.

                            

She also appreciated him for the provision of adequate burglary proof to the School Administrative block, renovation of the  former library and the construction of new chairs and desks.

                            

The headmistress also commended the effort of Prof. G.C. Ogborgbor, the chairman of the Owa-Alizomor Development Forum, for his humanitarian donation of Ten thousand naira (N10,000) for the provision of books for the school library.

                            

Speaking at the event, the Chief  Inspector of Education (CIE) Ika North East Local Government, Mr. Alex Ukubeyinje, noted with sadness, that most public schools are in shamble; adding however, that individuals and cooperate organizations should assist in renovating dilapidated structures in our schools.

                            

The CIE thanked the donor  of the projects, saying that he was put his money into good use for his community and for the state.

 

Dignitaries present at the ceremony were include the Chief Inspector of Education (CIE) of Ika North East Local Government Area, Mr. Alex Ukubeyinje, Prof G.C. Igborgbor, a lecturer with the Delta State University, Abraka, Barr. Monye, Hon. J.I Okorie, Mr. Benson Moseri, Mr. Usuegbu Ezekiel and host of others.
