POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS URGED TO IMPROVE ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

AGBOR (Ika Weekly) – Political office holders from Ika nation, at local, state or national levels have been urged to seek ways to improve on Ika social and economic environment.

                            

The call was made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) unit 14 in  ward 9 in Ika South Local Government Area on Saturday at their weekly meeting along Mariere Street, Agbor.

                            

Chief Sunday Mokwugye, the Nobore of Agbor kingdom, who is the Vice- Chairman of the unit stated that political office holders should realize that the positions they are occupying belong to the people, and so they should not see such position as personal property.

 

He commended political leaders in Ika land, especially Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Secretary to the State Governor (SSG) Engr. Doris Uboh, member, Federal House of Representative, Hon. Ben Obuh, amongst others, for their interest in moving Ika nation for ward. 

                            

Chief Mokwuye also appealed to all PDP members in the unit to identify with the party by coming to meeting regularly.

                            

Those who attended the meeting are the chairman, Mr. Julius Boynta, Secretary, Mr. Aniemeke Joe, Elder, J. Mac-Odeh, Elder, J.O. Ogala, Elder, John Iyere, woman leader, Mrs. Anriemeke Esther, Mrs. Grace Ogbain, Executive member of the unit.
