SENATOR OKOWA SET TO DECLARE FOR GOVERNOR

Ahead of the 2015 governorship election, the Senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, would on Monday, October 20, 2014 formally declare his interest to contest the governorship seat of Delta State.
                     
Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, a leading gubernatorial aspirant and a grassroot politician will run under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a statement issued in Asaba, the Director-General, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s Campaign Organization, Hon Festus Ovie Agas said that the declaration will hold at the Arcade Ground, Asaba by 10.am. The statement urged all Deltans, including members of the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), a political pressure group whose membership spread across the twenty-five local government areas of Delta State to endeavour to be at the Arcade Ground in Asaba early enough for the event.
                     
Hon Agas said Senator Okowa’s well thought out programmes, “Prosperity for All Deltans,” will be unveiled at the declaration. He also disclosed that there will be solidarity messages from organizations and individuals from all walks of life on the moral imperative of having Senator Okowa as successor to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan  in 2015.
