There is an adage that says that, the evil that men do, live with them and not after they have gone. The bible equally says that whatever a man sowest that he shall reap. This was the case of a young man who allegedly butchered his own elder brother to death two weeks ago in Agbor-nta in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The assailant who escaped immediately after committing the heinous crime was reported to have been apprehended at Ekwuoma in Ika North East Local Government Area where he was allegedly trying to rape a young lady in the farm.
According to Ika Weekly source, luck ran out of him when the young lady shouted while she was running for her dear life which attracted the attention of the villagers, who on hearing the young woman?s story and ordeal mobilized the youths of the community who immediately went into the bush in search of the man. He was subsequently where he was hiding and was apprehended by the youths who handed him over o the police at Igbodo. The source said that when the young man was interrogated, he said he was being pursued by his people for killing his elder brother at Agbor-nta in Ika South L.G.A.
The source also said that the police men at Igbodo called the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Agbor Divisional Headquarters, informing him of the incident that took place. The young man was then transferred to Agbor police station where he is currently helping the police in their investigations.
The source further disclosed that the young man on interrogation, confessed to the brutal killing of his elder brother whom he said he murdered while asleep. He said that he had to murder his brother because according to him the late man refused to give him part of the money that was sent by their elder brother to renovate their family house.
