ALISIMIE EXCO THANKS HON. UBOH; COMMENDS IKA WEEKLY.

The Alisimie Central Executive Committee has
expressed their gratitude and unflinching support to the Member Representing
Ika Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Doris Uboh during a
courtesy call on the Publisher of Ika Weekly newspaper, Mr. Steve Mekiri
Mekiriuwa Ashien.

Speaking
to an Ika Weekly reporter at the newspaper co-operate office along Old Lagos
Asaba Road,  Agbor in Ika South Local
Government Area on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, the leader and Chairman  of the Executive Committee, Hon. Jacob
Osagiede, in company of other members of the committee, said that the Hon.
Member in the Federal House of Representatives, Doris Uboh, has performed
creditably well in the areas of infrastructure development and capacity
building.

?Notable
among the numerous projects she has so far executed is the provision of quality
drugs to the Health
Center in the area. By
this singular act the Alisimie community will no longer have to go to the
health center to pay through the nose for drugs. Hon. Uboh has provided plenty
of drugs for our people. And we commend her for that,? he said.

The
group also used the opportunity to commend Ika Weekly newspaper for their
unbiased reportage, which, they said, has been very educative, informative, and
has truly become the darling newspaper of every household in the community and
beyond. He therefore urged the publisher to keep up with his work, as the Ika
people are fully in support of, and are praying for him.

They
reminded the general public, especially the people of Alisimie both at home and
in diasporas, that the  annual General
Conference will hold between 10th and 11th of April 2009..

In his response, the publisher, Mr. Ashien
thanked the exco for finding time to visit the newspaper outfit, and for their
regular subscription to Ika Weekly. He also prayed God to direct them in their
different endeavors

Other
Executive Members of Committee in the entourage include Mr. G. K. Eborka. Mr.
John Nwokoro, and Mr. P. D. C. Obuseh
