It was a near fatal accident as two motorcycles with plate numbers QK 510 KTU QF 359 BMA including a mercede Benz car with registration number AHA 38 SLK were involved in an accident along Marere Street in Boji Boji Agbor in Ika South Local government area on 5 february 2010
According to Mr Jacob Anyamuje, a passenger in one of the motorcycle involved in the accident, "The okada rider do not look properly before coming out from the bending corner between Marere and professor Ebie street, which led to the collision of the two motorcycles and the car"
Mr. Anyamuje who was injured as a result of the accident said that he cannot falthom the reason whereby motorcycles rider are always in top speed, "Okada riders are fond of riding recklessly as if they are the only ones plying the road, if not God maybe, I will now be in the hospital"
Although no life was lost, the Mercedes Benz was partially damaged as the tyres were condemned. Efforts to speak to the driver of the car was rebuffed.
A reliable source at the scene of the accident told Ika weekly that the okada rider with the number QF. 359 BMA was hurrying to the hospital after buying things for his wife who recently delivered a set of triplets. By the time Ika weekly left the accident scene, the Okada rider still unconscious.
