4-ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN POLICE NET

OWA ALERO (Ika Weekly) – Four armed robbery suspects who are believed to have been terrorizing Owa-Alero and Owa-Ekei axis in Ika North East Local Government Area have been arrested by a combined team of Owa-Alero youths.

 

A report from the area said the suspects were arrested at the bush (Egboko Idumuebor) along power Line where they have been residing and terrorizing people who farm in that area.

         

According to the report, Mr. Utalor Dibie, also known as “father” organized the team and sent them into the bush to search for those hardened robbers after they have beaten up and raped and chased away many females in the bush.

         

In a chat with Ika Weekly, Mr. Dibie said the community can no longer tolerate the evil acts, adding that all their farm products like melon, maize, and Okro have been lost as farmers could not attend to their farm for fear of being attacked by the hoodlums. 

         

He disclosed that the robbers were caught on the 3rd day of searching, together with mats with which they used to sleep in the bush, guns, bows and arrows as well as sharp objects were recovered from them and as they were taken to the palace of HRM Emmanuel Efeizomor II (JP) the Obi of Owa, from where they were handed over to the police

 

Obi Efeizomor praised the Owa-Alero boys for the victory and urged them to do more as those four robbery suspects are not the only terrorists in the bush. He then charged them not to relent in their efforts.

The police in Owa-Oyibu are currently investigating the mater.
