The Speaker of
the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr Victor Ochei has promised to
intervene in the dualisation project of the Old Lagos/Asaba road awarded a some
years ago to Hi-Tech construction by the Delta State
government. Rt. Hon. Ochei made the promise on Friday 14th October, 2011 at Ika
National Hall, Agbor in an enlarged meeting of People Democratic Party, PDP
members from Delta North.

Rt Hon Ochei who
said he is happy the Delta North PDP 
meeting was scheduled to hold in Ika national  Hall decried the deplorable state of the Old
Lagos/Asaba road, stating that he now understands the grievance of the
electorate from Ika land and why Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan lost his election in
Ika South

“I have seen the
difficulties  the people  of Ika are experiencing using the Old Lagos/Asaba
road. I am assuring them that they will see a good road in the dry season. The
Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s government will rise up to the occasion of completing
the road. I, personally will oversee the dualisation of the Old Lagos/Asaba Road..

Similarly, Rt Hon
Ochei expressed happiness that PDP in Delta North is being reinvigorated in
other to correct the mistakes of yesterday, 
advising that party leaders as well as followers in the area should not
relent until they achieve their goal of developing Anioma. He appealed to all
PDP members in Delta
State  to be accommodative and work hard for the
advancement of the party just as he urged all Deltans to be patient with the
state government dividends at the same time. He assured that he and other Delta
North lawmakers in the Delta State House of Assembly will contribute at least
N500,00 each to the nine local government in the district every month.
