It was a
celebration galore over the weekend as friends, well-wishers and family members
of Mr. Theophilus Nwudu, on Sunday, 5th of May, 2013 at First Baptist Church, at No 81, Old Abraka Road,
Boji-Boji, Owa gave thanks to God for seeing them through during the land case
between them and Chief Samuel Okwunwa, both of
Owa-Nta community, in Ika Northeast local government area of Delta
State. The case was handled by two Barristers, Barrister Ifeanyi Agholor
counsel Mr. Theophilus Nwudu and Barrister V.N Adaikpo counsel Chief Okwunwa
who lost the legal battle during the judgement that was delivered on Tuesday
23rd of April, 2013 at High Court of Justice Owa Oyibu.
Speaking with newsmen shortly
after the thanksgiving service, Mr. Nwudu said that the land issue started in
2010, saying that he inherited the land from his inherited from my great-grand
father, Pa. Una . I looked around me and discovered that no one will fight this
battel except God who sent us Barrister I. Agholor who stood behind us to
ensure that what belongs to us was not taken from us.
Preaching during the
thanksgiving service, Deacon D. Nwabor, charged the congregation to always put their trust in God by reading
the Bible book of (Esther 5:1-14) saying
that whatever God says will happen must surely happen.
Today, we give victory to God
Almighty for His infinite mercies and love throughout the period of the case,
because He is the Father of the fatherless, mother of the motherless and
husband of the widows as is evidenced in the victorious legal battle. He will
fight for us and we shall hold our peace,” he stated.
He concluded by thanking
everybody who supported them through prayers and expressed his gratitude to
Barrister Ifeanyi Agholor for being there for them throughout the period of the
litigation. He prayed God to continue to protect and guide Barr. Aghaulor and his
entire family.
