Some concerned youths of Agbor extraction on Monday 9th April, 2012, embarked on the repair of bad portions of the popular Mariere Street, in Agbor. The youths who involved the services of iron benders, masons and carpenters said they have decided to embark on the selfless and voluntary service on their own since the state government has failed to intervene, stressing that since the youths have decided to be render community service to Agbor kingdom and Ika South in general they are not going to relent in their efforts. They assured that they will continue to do their best as far community service is concerned, and since Ika South is their constituency that will bring it to the lime light. The youths thanked worthy Agbor sons such as Oni Agbobu, Emegha Imudia, Hon Aghede Isioma, aka Big Boy, former Supervisory Councilor on Education in Ika South Local Government for their financial supports. They also expressed appreciation to the initiators, Jude Ntadi, Aghede Ijeoma, Alhaji 20k, Emeke Omo Rogie and Jude Omorojie. They however, commended the likes of Hnery Odiana, Evans Aganwonyi and others for the assistance they rendered during the work.
Mariere Street junction which is before now not passable by motorists is wearing a new look as serious works has been on it. The junction, unlike before, is now passable again.
