It was a
mild drama during the week as Mr. Friday Ejegbor, popularly known as Markay who
resides at 94 Old Idumu-Odin Road, Igbanke, in Orhionwon Local Government Area
of Edo State carried his eight months old twin babies (a boy and a girl) who
were abandoned by their mother recently to the farm with wheel barrow.
Mr. Ejegbor who at the time Ika
Weekly visited his home had loaded his twin kids in his wheel barrow without
wearing them pants or sandals except the worn out clothes they were putting on,
said he came back from farm one day and discovered that his wife and mother of
the twins had packed out of his house, noting that before he left for farm that
fateful day he was in good terms with her but wondered why she ran away from
his house.
He appealed to spirited
individuals, groups and government to come to his rescue as he cannot feed the
children without loading them on a wheel barrow to farm everyday. He said the
twins are dear to him but since he has no money, he is finding it difficult to
