The tragic death of a young
hairdresser names (withheld) who was between the age of 25 to 28 was indeed a
very sad incident for the indigenes of Alihagu in Ika South Local Government
Area of Delta State.
According to Ika Weekly
source, the incident which occurred recently has left many questions
unanswered, as many people are wondering why a man will sacrifice the life his
wife because he wants to be rich. The deceased who was survived by two kids
slumped down as she was washing her children?s school uniforms, after she had
returned from Sunday morning devotion. She was quickly rushed to the hospital
by sympathizers but gave up the ghost just a few poles to the hospital. The
source further said the tragic incident attracted a crowd of mourners to the
deceased?s compound to sympathse with the family who discovered that her
husband was nowhere to be found.
Our source further said that
the whole drama was unfolded when the deceased husband appeared two days. After
the incident. When he was however confronted by the deceased family, who wanted
to know the reason for his sudden disappearance immediately the wife was
confirmed, he confessed to being responsible for his wife?s death, saying he
never knew envisaged the eventual outcome of his unholy attempt to become rich.
He said he was misled by a friend who promised to help him become rich regretting
that in the process he has now lost his wife and mother of his children.
